Why Wild Fern?
A considered approach to movement
At Wild Fern, there is no expectation to fit into a particular level, programme or definition about what exercise should look like.
Your session is shaped around your body, your health, your experience and what you want to achieve. Exercises are carefully selected and adapted, with progress introduced at a pace that feels appropriate for you.
Sometimes progress means becoming stronger. Sometimes it means moving with less fear, returning to something you enjoy, or simply feeling more at home in your body.
Wild Fern Pilates grew from my belief that movement can play an important role in recovery- helping us rebuild strength, confidence and connection with our bodies.
In my work as a physiotherapist, I’ve seen how the body changes through illness, treatment, injury, and everyday life. Recovery isn’t always about returning to how things were before- often, it’s about finding strength and confidence in the body you have now.
I wanted to create a calm, welcoming space for that process, where Pilates is adapted to you rather than expecting you to fit a set class or level.
The name Wild Fern reflects this philosophy. Ferns are resilient- they grow quietly, adapt to their surroundings, and thrive in unexpected places. I believe our bodies can do the same; adapt, recover, and grow stronger in their own way.
Wild Fern Pilates brings together my physiotherapy experience and my passion for Pilates, offering individualised sessions to help you move with greater strength, confidence and ease.
